Crosscuts are
cuts made across the grain of the wood as opposed to rip cuts which are made
with the grain. Crosscuts require the
use of a miter gauge or crosscut sled.
NEVER use the miter gauge with the wood against the fence at the same
time – unless you have a death wish! Watch this video
